Though S was an extremely strong candidate for top universities, S's Senior Consultant demonstrated their expertise and care for the student by establishing a strong bond built upon mutual trust and support at the onset. Through compassionate discussions, S revealed her difficult and traumatic childhood to her Senior Consultant. She had difficulty finding the right hook for her essay, but when we started having very intimate conversations she started opening up more and then finally felt comfortable enough sharing her entire childhood and upbringing.

As a result, even though it was very difficult to write about and share, we convinced her that this story is part of her life journey and that it is actually very important to convey to the admissions officers because it made her into the self determined and hard working person she is today.
