插畫(huà)是一種藝術(shù)形式，作為現(xiàn)代設(shè)計(jì)的一種重要的視覺(jué)傳達(dá)形式，以 其直觀的形象性，真實(shí)的生活感和美的感染力，在現(xiàn)代設(shè)計(jì)中占有特定的 地位，已廣泛用于現(xiàn)代設(shè)計(jì)的多個(gè)領(lǐng)域，涉及到文化活動(dòng)、社會(huì)公共事業(yè)、商業(yè)活動(dòng)、影視文化等方面。

背景要求

專(zhuān)業(yè)背景：插畫(huà)碩士專(zhuān)業(yè)對(duì)于申請(qǐng)者的背景并無(wú)限制，只要學(xué)生對(duì)插畫(huà)專(zhuān)業(yè)充滿(mǎn)熱情，富有創(chuàng)新想法，能夠做出優(yōu)秀的插畫(huà)作品集，就可以申請(qǐng)。一般申請(qǐng)者都具備一定的繪畫(huà)基礎(chǔ)、美學(xué)修養(yǎng)和專(zhuān)業(yè)技能。

硬件條件：多數(shù)學(xué)校要求申請(qǐng)者的GPA達(dá)到3.0 以上。

不同學(xué)校對(duì)托福要求不一，但是專(zhuān)業(yè)排名高的學(xué)校對(duì)語(yǔ)言成績(jī)要求高，如雪城大學(xué)要求 The recommended minimum TOEFL score required on the internet-based (iBT) test is 90 for all programs.

插畫(huà)碩士專(zhuān)業(yè)基本不需要提交GRE。

作品集：插畫(huà)專(zhuān)業(yè)作品集是重中之重，通過(guò)作品可以體現(xiàn)申請(qǐng)者的創(chuàng)新想法和扎實(shí)功底。

插畫(huà)發(fā)展前景及就業(yè)方向：

(一) 自由插畫(huà)師

靠接單(圖書(shū)封面.期刊插畫(huà).廣告插畫(huà)等)創(chuàng)造產(chǎn)值

(二) 專(zhuān)職插畫(huà)師

在游戲公司，動(dòng)畫(huà)公司，圖書(shū)公司擔(dān)任原畫(huà)設(shè)定，海報(bào)繪制、圖書(shū)插畫(huà)編繪等職務(wù)，進(jìn)行游戲角色設(shè)定，廣告包裝與招貼設(shè)計(jì), 卡通吉祥物設(shè)計(jì) ,出版物插圖與封面設(shè)計(jì)，服裝設(shè)計(jì)以及建筑裝飾畫(huà)設(shè)計(jì)等。

(三)創(chuàng)辦自己的工作室

若干插畫(huà)師組成的小型創(chuàng)作團(tuán)隊(duì) 。
